There was a period in my business journey where, from the outside, everything probably looked fine. I was experienced, capable, intelligent, hard-working and deeply passionate about helping people create meaningful change in their lives and businesses. I had spent years working across coaching, facilitation, leadership development and personal growth and yet behind the scenes, I found myself caught in the same exhausting cycle I now see so many women trapped in today.

Constantly thinking about where the next client or contract would come from. Waking up in the middle of the night with my nervous system already switched on before the day had even begun. Feeling the pressure to stay visible, stay relevant, stay “on.” Watching the online business world become louder, faster and more performative, while quietly wondering if I was somehow failing because so much of it felt completely unnatural to me.

I immersed myself in the world of funnels, launches and online marketing because I genuinely wanted to understand how people were growing these massive businesses online, but the deeper I went into the world of hype, pressure and high-performance marketing, the more disconnected I started to feel from myself. So much of it felt like theatre. Endless urgency. Manufactured scarcity. Aggressive sales tactics.

Beneath all of it was this constant pressure to keep grabbing at the “low-hanging fruit” — saying yes to work, clients or opportunities simply to keep money flowing and bills paid, even when deep down I knew they weren’t aligned with the bigger vision I had for my life and business.
